Services Covered by TriWest
TriWest Healthcare Alliance specializes in veteran services with a partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), as well as behavioral health services. During the admissions process, we can check your TriWest insurance coverage to see just how much it provides and how we can use it to give you the best and most affordable addiction treatment options. For some veterans with TriWest insurance, they pay nothing out of pocket for our help, and we’d like to get your costs just as low if possible.
TriWest insurance coverage could help pay for the following:
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy
- Dialectical behavioral therapy
- Intensive outpatient program
- Residential inpatient rehab
- Dual diagnosis treatments
- And much more
Dual Diagnosis Treatments for Veterans
Many combat veterans suffer from mental health difficulties related to the strenuous and violent nature of service. It is not a coincidence that the same veterans with mental health difficulties can be more prone to developing a drug or alcohol addiction. Research has shown that addiction can be more likely in people with mental health difficulties, and even that a disorder can worsen the symptoms of addiction.
Mental health difficulties that are often associated with addiction include:
As an in-network partner with TriWest insurance, we can offer dual diagnosis treatments to military veterans. Dual diagnosis care is unique in that it addresses addiction and mental health difficulties together, rather than separately. By acknowledging that both issues can play into or worsen each other, dual diagnosis treatment is better poised to support the recovering individual’s needs.
