Determining the Best Addiction Program Length for You

When you’re ready to take the first steps toward recovery, there are likely a lot of questions running through your head — one being how long you will have to stay in a rehab program.

While everyone is different and requires their own personalized plan in order to achieve long-lasting sobriety, there are a few factors that will influence which length of time is best for you.

Addiction Levels of Care

The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) classifies addiction treatment care into several levels, each defined by the level of care best suited for the individual. These include:

  • Level 0.5: Early intervention services
  • Level 1: Outpatient services
  • Level 2: IOPs or partial hospitalization services
  • Level 3: Residential or inpatient programs
  • Level 4: Medically managed intensive inpatient treatment services

Factors That Determine Your Length of Stay

In order to determine which level of care you need, as well as which treatment program would best address your needs, our addiction counselors will perform assessments over a two-week period that take your psychological state, physical fitness, family relationships, nutritional needs, and work and home life into account.

From here, they can determine what program and length of treatment time will best benefit you.

Our Programs

45 to 90-Day Extended Residential Inpatient

Our clinicians will use a variety of therapies to address the causes and effects of addiction as well as manage medical issues and family visits.

In some cases, you may benefit from additional treatment to further solidify healthier behaviors and learn more life skills. Our 45-day extended treatment program can help teach you necessary vocational, money management, and interviewing skills.

Intensive Outpatient Telehealth

If you are in need of addiction treatment but would like to preserve your everyday life, you may benefit from intensive outpatient treatment via Telehealth.

Through this program, you will receive the same personalized care and therapies that you would in our inpatient program while maintaining your day-to-day work and personal life.
