Apache Lake is one of four reservoirs built along the Salt River in central
Arizona as part of the Salt River Project. This lake is set among sun-painted
canyon walls, which form scenic backdrops to the lake itself.
This trip was another wonderful time with exciting views, afloat on Apache
Lake and an assortment of wildlife to be seen. We loaded up and set out
for a therapeutic camping trip down to Apache Lake. The clients were excited
to be heading out away from civilization as it showed through the change
On our full day activity, we took a pontoon boat out to explore Apache
Lake. Our morning group was done at camp in the form of one hour of yoga
before heading out on the boat for the day. The boat afforded us the opportunity
to explore a few coves and take in some spectacular views for a better
part of the day.
