Trauma Therapy In Arizona

Providing The Help You Need

If you or your loved one has been through a traumatic experience and is now struggling with addiction and substance abuse, our Arizona addiction treatment therapies can help you on the path to recovery. Decision Point Center offers compassionate trauma therapy treatments at our facilities across the west coast.

What Types of Trauma Lead to Addiction and Substance Abuse?

Our experienced therapists and staff have helped countless clients cope with traumas related to:

  • Rape
  • Molestation
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Loss of a loved one or relationship

Trauma can create mental scarring and negative, self-limiting beliefs that, if left unaddressed, can push us into making self-destructive decisions that only worsen our condition. There are positive steps you can take to overcome trauma, and our team wants to help.

Eye Movement Sensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) desensitizes trauma sufferers from the traumatic experience to “delink” the aroused emotional state of trauma from the impulse to use substances to self-medicate. Our EMDR therapist is Carol Kibbee MA, LPC who is Level II trained in EMDR and an EMDRIA consultant and training facilitator.
