Medically Supervised Drug & Alcohol Detox
Safely Helping Patients Through Withdrawal
At Decision Point Center, we provide services for supervised detoxification in a facility licensed by Arizona state and accredited by the Joint Commission. Our services are provided under the close supervision of our specialized nurses and board-certified physicians.
We supervise our patients’ safe withdrawal from a wide variety of substances including:
- Bath salts
- Salvia divinorum
- Synthetic cannabinoids
- Opiate medications such as carfentanil, fentanyl, and prescription pain pills
As an in-patient medical detoxification facility, we offer the advantages of 24-hour medical care and supervision from our professional staff, and the easy availability of treatment for serious complications. In addition, our private Precott Valley setting prevents access to abused substances in a safe environment.
At Decision Point Detox, we enlist a two-phased approach to patient care:
- First, a comprehensive physical assessment and extensive drug or alcohol usage review. Using this information, we build a personalized and closely monitored detoxification plan to relieve the immediate symptoms of withdrawal.
- Once the patient is medically stable and free of physiological withdrawal symptoms, our second phase of care focuses on behavioral and psychosocial assessments with the aim of helping patients identify behaviors that lead to drug or alcohol usage. Our objective is to provide our patients with “tools” to develop new coping mechanisms and thought processes.
After the detoxification is complete, our medical team provides a smooth and seamless transition to one of our treatment programs for those who wish to seek additional care. For those patients, the absence of drugs or alcohol in the system allows them to focus on the therapeutic work to be done rather than on the distraction caused by discomfort and cravings.
