Client Visitation Policy

At Decision Point, our philosophy is to promote family involvement while our clients are receiving treatment. This is borne out of our knowledge that involving the family in treatment raises the client’s chances of achieving and maintaining sobriety.

First Week: During the first week of treatment we want you to be able to relax, focus on treatment and literally take a breather from the chaotic life of using. You need a break and so does your family. Therefore, we ask that no phone calls of visits take place unless deemed therapeutically appropriate by the Primary Therapist. If the Primary Therapist approves a phone call, the call will be supervised. Or, if a client has had a family session and the therapist feels it would be therapeutic to both the client and their family, then a two-hour visit will be granted. This will be either an onsite or an offsite visit as determined by the Family Therapist. Prior to the offsite visit, clients are required to fill out a visitation request which must be approved by their Case Manager.

Second Week: Clients are allowed phone privileges and a two-hour onsite or offsite visit. Prior to the offsite visit, clients are required to fill out a visitation request, which must be approved by their Case Manager.

Third Week through Sixth Week: Clients are allowed cell phone privileges and up to four hours for an off-site visit. Prior to the offsite visit, clients are required to fill out a visitation request, which must be approved by their Case Manager.
