Derek Thron

Derek was born in Denver, CO which is where he spent most of his life. He began a career in programming and manufacturing but was faced with his own battles with substance abuse. For many years Derek struggled to get his life on track. In 2012 he came to Prescott, AZ desperate and willing for help. Upon changing his life Derek has worked in behavioral health ever since. He started at Decision Point in 2013 as a residential tech and is now the Manager of Physical Health Services at Decision Point. Derek has a strong passion for health which he brings to work with him every day. It is one of his greatest joys to be able to witness, first hand, the incredible physical and mental transformations of individuals seeking help. Derek’s long term goal is to become a registered nurse so that can continue to help people that are in need.
