Equine Therapy

Decision Point Center offers an exceptional and unique Equine Therapy. Horses are dynamic, powerful animals with acutely developed senses and this is why we use them to benefit select clients with an alternative learning style that promotes emotional growth and learning. Using this style of learning, the horses can help clients identify deep rooted feelings and hidden emotional experiences while achieving a greater understanding of thoughts, beliefs, behaviors and patterns.

This therapy offers the possibility to learn from natural consequences, mistakes and successes. In many cases, equine therapy helps clients’ pinpoint inner feelings sooner than traditional therapies. It is especially useful with those suffering from trauma issues. Equine therapy sessions incorporate the principles of recovery by allowing clients to enjoy hands-on experiences that work for dealing with intimidating and challenging situations that clients can incorporate into their recovery.

Equine therapy, no doubt offers many constructive therapeutic benefits, primarily in learning and social skills. It brings inapt feelings to the surface where they can be managed effectively. It sheds a whole new light on overcoming obstacles and problems and moving forward.
