After suffering from the disease of addition for twenty five years, and in the service of his own recovery, in 1997, Nick opened Decision Point. Myers wanted to create
a unique program to help others also suffering from addiction and compulsive behaviors. Nick recognized that long term treatment, with a major emphasis on trauma resolution,
was a key to recovery. Nick’s mantra has become “having fun in recovery” and evolved the Decision Points treatment model embracing the tenants of the 12 steps along with a
program that incorporated adventure, equine and other experiential elements. The treatment model that Nick envisioned, the union of mind, body and spirit, in a community
based comprehensive, individualized and holistic program, defines Decision Point today..
Nick Myers and Decision Point Center has been featured Treatment Magazine and Counselor Magazine as one of the premiere programs in the country. Nick Myers has also been
featured in articles which appeared in Arizona Together and California Together recognizing his achievements and contributions in the field of addiction and Decision Point
Center has also been featured on Intervention, an Arts and Entertainment production.
