Donna comes to Decision Point Center with almost twenty years in the field of chemical dependency where she directed and developed substance abuse programs encompassing all levels of care for residential and outpatient programs and for EAP management. Her experience encompasses a diversity of work environments such as community hospitals, non-profit agencies (both public and private sector), a Fortune 500 company and consulting services regarding the development of gender responsive treatment. She is a national speaker, educator and writer regarding addiction and is the recipient of the 2004 Michael Q. Ford National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) Journalism award for a series of articles published in the Counselor Magazine, Aug’04, Oct’04 & Dec’04 regarding the influence of hormonal shifting on women and their process of recovery. Donna is a Master’s level Certified Addictions Professional with the State of Florida and a Certified Addictions Specialist with the American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders.
