Adventure Therapy Program
Adventure Therapy is a powerful method of helping clients to learn new things about themselves in environments and situations that are both inspiring and challenging; then, use this fresh awareness to help navigate the uncharted territory of early recovery/sobriety. In this way, clients gain new skills for living, and are able to build confidence as they move forward in their overall treatment at Decision Point. The inherent challenge in activities such as hiking, rock-climbing, backpacking, and/or high and low ropes courses will help identify a client’s internal behavior patterns, beliefs, emotions, and core issues, as well as provide opportunities for learning in the areas of basic leadership, communication/group process, and problem-solving skills. Our highly experienced Adventure Staff are there to guide and support each client in their physical, emotional, and spiritual development, while exploring the breathtaking, natural beauty of Northern Arizona.

Ropes/ Challenge Course & Rock Climbing
Our Ropes/Challenge course provides clients with unique opportunities for strong and lasting change to take place in a non-conventional setting. Clients gradually progress through a series of safe and structured activities, moving from ground-level elements to higher, more difficult ones as their levels of trust and confidence increase. These elements, facilitated by our certified instructors, are designed to foster new awareness within the group, and within the individual.
Our low ropes elements focus more upon the group process, and tend to highlight group interaction, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Our high ropes elements and rock climbing programs focus more on individual achievement, helping clients to confront personal fears, and to overcome perceived limitations.
